Last night, I, together with Giuseppe Sala and Gianpietro Ghedina, Mayors of Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo respectively, took part in a meeting at the Triennale di Milano to present the 2021 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, looking at the Milan-Cortina candidacy for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
I illustrated the great work that is being done in Cortina to arrange the 2021 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in the best possible way: they will be an opportunity for Cortina, for Veneto and for Italy as a whole: a work based on sustainability, young people, the future and on the territory’s involvement. A nice rehearsals for the 2026 Olympics.
