Who was the inventor of social media? The answer is Luther

The last issue of the year of The Economist is always full of tidbits to enjoy during the Christmas break.

This year, a year in which we talked about the influence of social media practically in relation to everything, from the Arab Spring to the recent demonstrations in the streets of Moscow, the pages of the prestigious weekly magazine tell us how the German theologian Martin Luther was among the first people, five centuries before Facebook, to make use of social media (of that era) to bring about change.
