Here’ s a post from Buzz Aldrin, reminding us of the promise

Today a special issue of Newsweek, entirely dedicated to the 1960’s, hits the newsstand. We contributed this beautiful picture, that puts a “space” slant on the UNHATE campaign.

I received this message for my blog from the legendary Buzz Aldrin, the astronaut who piloted the lunar module of Apollo XI:

Dear Alessandro,
We should all cooperate to fulfill the promise of: “We came in peace for all mankind”.
Buzz Aldrin

In July 1969 I was only a small child, but I clearly remember the excitement generated by the Moon landing. Buzz Aldrin’s message has brought back the memory of that exciting day.
